Bregott has been staining Swedish clothes for 30 years. Instead of apologising for it, the brand decided to celebrate it.
To mark the anniversary of its iconic cow universe, Bregott launched The Cowllection. A fashion collection made entirely from butter stained garments that would normally be thrown away. Clothes from families, fans and influencers were given a second life by students at Handarbetets Vänner, who transformed each stain into hand embroidered artwork inspired by Bregott’s spotted cows.
Every stain became a canvas. Every garment a story. The finished pieces were photographed at Bregottfabriken, where the brand’s story began, and brought to life through DIY embroidery kits, tutorials, workshops and a final auction where each unique piece was sold, with the proceedings going to a scholarship for art students.
The Cowllection turned frustration into pride, waste into craft and stains into statements. It sparked conversations across fashion, sustainability and lifestyle media and inspired people to wear their once ruined clothes with confidence.
Bregott did not just save garments. It changed how people look at them.
